Default Stencil design on blacked out tail lights??

So I recently purchased some nightshade for my tail lights and front turn signal on my 06 silver GT and I thought it would be cool to have a design left really red in the center of the light. Maybe the pony or a GT or a horizontal stripe.

I was wondering if anyone else has tried this and what design they used. If this is a terrible or awesome idea, please let me know. I'll post some pics later this afternoon. Any design suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you made the pony large enough to go actross all three lights it might look good. If you wanted to do it though I would just stick with a bar going across. Or you could tape off the lights individually so you would be left with a red outline around each light bar. That could look cool.

I could make a perfect stencil of a mustang because I have full access to a laser that I would use to cut a more intricate stencil. But your right I want to go simple the first time so I don't mess it up.

So you say either a horizontal bar or red outlines. Have you seen or have pics of anything like this. I'm still trying to toss around ideas

Here is a photoshopped picture.
I tried the outline thing but it did show up very well.

Sounds cool, but not sure how easy it would be. I put on the smoke tail light tint and the "mustang" 3rd brake light decal from AM. The 3rd brake light decal adds a nice touch.

I'm thinking just a solid stripe of 3/4 blue masking tape would do the job well and then clear coat after takin the tape off. Any reasons it shouldn't work?

Sooo... I chickened out a little and went straight black without any design but I think it was for the best. I went with 3 coats of nite-shade and 3 of an acrylic clear coat. They're curing right now but I'm pretty proud of them already. I'll be sure to post some pictures tomorrow morning once I put them back in.
