05 going from Roush to GT500 hood question

05 going from Roush to GT500 hood question
I hit a dog at 70mph and destroyed the Roush front end. I ordered a complete front end from a Ford Dealer off of Ebay except for the hood. I got thsi kit http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI...L:COSI:US:1123
Now when I looked for a stock gt500 hood I kept seeing only 07-09 hoods but saw other hoods for 05-09. I got a perfect condition 08 hood from craigslist for $500. The guy said it would bolt right up so I am confused as to why so many sites list 07-09 instead of 05-09. Yes i am building a "poser" as someone put it, I ordered badges and stripes too. But I do have a supercharger laying 440rwhp so not much of a poser....

The reason it says 07-09 is because GT500's were only in production during those years for our body styles. The hoods that say 05-09 are just people that don't know mustangs and/or poorly advertise. The reason the kit calls for all years is simply because you can install it on any of our bodystyles.

Interestingly, you can put a 07-09 GT500 hood on a 05-09 Pony or GT, but it hangs over the edge slightly. The GT500 front fascia sticks out a little more and meets the hood, but it does physically bolt on.
The picture shows a Shelby GT bumper, but you get the idea.
