Default Free caliper mod (brushed aluminum!)

Since Ford blessed our cars with aluminum calipers (front & back), might as well take advantage of it. Paint flakes and you have to always be gentle not chip it off the calipers when doing work in that area. I hate painted calipers for this reason.
And yes, V6 Mustangs have the same calipers on all 4 corners.
All you needs is a drill or rotary tool and a wire brush bit.

AND EYE PROTECTION!!! Aluminum is soft and tiny flakes will fly off.

It looks way better in person and you just have to hit it with the brush every few months or so.
I paid attention to other Mustangs on the road and most unpainted calipers look all dull and like crap so this definately adds to a clean look in a subdued way.

No worries about hurting them aluminum isn't that soft, you just push a little and let the brush do its job. You're basically just taking off the layer of dirt, brake dust, and dulled corrosion.

Well I gotta take my wheels off one of these days to clean them thoroughly. Hard to reach the middle/back and got a layer of brake dust there.
May attempt this while I do that

Lugs should be torqued down to specific lb/ft correct?
I'll need to find me a torque wrench soon

Oooh, that looks nice. I was going to disassemble mine and anodize them, but it's too much of a hassle. This is much easier and looks really good.

We need more pics of people doing this.
Wonder how mine will look. Tungsten grey. Anthracite bullits and brushed alum calipers

Looks good but I'll stick to my paint because red calipers look way better than brushed aluminum. And in the 5 years of owning my car not a single flake of paint flew off my calipers. But then again I know how to paint stuff the right way

Good cheap mod though..

Gonna have to do this mod as well.. my painted calipers are looking so damn ashy!

Starting off with new take off parts, so it's all good.. I am gonna go crazy with that wire brush extension! I won't stop til I see my reflection lol
