Default Center Console & Steering wheel LEDs

Hey guys! I got really tired of looking at the pale green color that the AC control, and all the buttons use, including the steering wheel cruise control. Didn't really think it matched the Rover Red look . So I took apart the center console and the AC controls, did a little soldering and replaced the stock surface mount LED's with new red LED's. The red lights compliment the rest of the interior nicely in my opinion.
Just showing you the ugly green stock lights.

And the center console ugly green lights as well.
Just to give you an idea of how annoyingly small these little suckers really were.

Now the new red LED's in the steering wheel buttons!
And in the center console with my aftermarket head unit.

Hope you guys liked it! It was probably one of the more fun mod's of done to Rover. Sorry for the lack of pictures within the AC Unit and the board itself, it wouldn't let me upload them to the site for some reason. Let me know what you guys think.

This is actually a very interesting mod. I have been debating it for a while now, but have no clue where to start lol, if it's not too much trouble you could do a slightly longer/more indepth do-it-yourself instructional and we could get it stickied in the DIY section.

Looks very nice, and I think it's a great visual mod! Good work.

Looks good. Where did you get the LEDs? Those things are tiny.

Thank you! I will make a write-up on how to do this step by step asap. At the moment I've got my front bumper and headlights off, installing my red halo's on the headlights and fog lights! As soon as this project is done (give me 2 days) i'll have a write up ready.

YES! I would love a step by step on this! I need mine in white. So sick of that pukey green clashing with all my other lights.
