hey everyone my dad is looking to work on a car and he was thinking either buy an old 66ish mustang and restore it. but he had the idea of redoing my car with custom two tone paint... kawasaki green with a gloss black of the hood top and rear decklid... stopping at the end of the spoiler. what is your guys opinions on this? i looked at the design on forza 4 and i really liked it but i dont think any mustang has ever done this and im really curious to see how this looks
Sounds kind of ridiculous/clownish. It would hurt your resale without a doubt. I think the best cars look a little subtle.
Does your dad own a body shop or something? If it's just an amateur in his backyard with a paint booth it'll look 10x worse than the factory paint job from Ford.
Tone two like that, no. I'm not a big fan of two tone, but done tastefully, professionally, and when it is rather subtle, it can look very very good. That idea, ehhh, not so much...
+1...how about two tone black and gray with a kawasaki green pin stripe separating the two. Then you could add some other subtle green touches to the exterior.
just my .02
