armor-all and meguiars both make a product that makes the sidewall nice and black. Any auto parts store, wal-mart, etc will have it.

Tire Shine by Meguiars. Stuff works great. Just about any auto parts, drug store etc... should carry it.

I wonder what would happen if you used some back to black on the tires and then tire shine...

I use Meguiars Hot Shine High Gloss every week or two. I also use it inside my fender wells. As for something that will keep them black, nothing I have ever used lasted more than a few weeks on a DD. Too much rain and heat on the Gulf Coast.

If your tires are not black, then that probably means they are dirty, and you should clean them with a rubber cleaner, such as Rubber Cleaner from www.griotsgarage.com.

After you have the tires clean, then you can apply one the many protectants readily available at auto supply stores.

I'll vouch for meguires. I got a lotta sidewall and meguires seems to last longer than armor all but that's just splitting hairs both work
