Default Lets talk LEDs...

Just like the title says, lets talk LEDs.

Who all has changed out the turn signals, side markers, 3rd brake light, and tail lights? did you use a kit or just drop in LED bulbs and load equalizers? pics?

I switched front turns, with LED switchbacks..
they required a resistor.

I can't remember the name of the exact website, but there's a good one for buying LED's, I'm sure someone will post it up.

I just grab stuff off ebay though. Call me cheap.

I changed out my map (dome) light bulbs with LED lights. Very Easy to do!

I have done the following LED conversions

Switchback turn signals: http://autolumination.com/3157_3156.htm Scroll down a ways on this page to find them.
Amber front side markers: http://autolumination.com/194.htm
Red rear sidemarkers; http://autolumination.com/194.htm
Dome lights: Cheap from ebay
3rd brake light: http://autolumination.com/194.htm
Liscense Plate light: http://autolumination.com/194.htm

I think I may have the wrong type of bulb on my 3rd brake light. It isn't very bright, but the bulb was supposed to be one of my reverse bulbs but they didn't work.

Of note: The side marker bulbs should be the 1st type of 194 on the page The other won't fit. I purchased resistors for my switchbacks but they haven't needed them yet, so I keep them in my tool box just in case.

Lastly, If anyone knows where I can get some reverse light led's that would be awesome.

I did my dome lights to blue LEDs, blacked out my rear side markers and installed red LEDs and hopefully this weekend I will install the smoked LED third brake light.
I got the LEDs from Superbrightleds.com. You can get brighter LEDs for replacement bulbs too if you like. Many of options.

You wouldn't want to use the switchbacks as tailights. Switchbacks are good for front turn signals that are clear or smoked. You could just use a regular led bulb that's the right size for the tailights.
