TSW Interlagos 18x9.5 matte black wheels installed
I got my black Interlagos wheels installed on the weekend. I WAS going to wait until August to buy wheels, but when I saw lsdmotorsports.com had them at $216 each, when everywhere else on the net you find these wheels at $250-$270 , I just had to jump on that offer. (maybe they made a listing mistake and haven't realized it yet. Who knows...)
I reused my current tires which are 255/45/18 Nexen's on all corners.
In any case, I'm so glad I went with these wheels instead of the TSW Nurburgrings that EEEEVERYONE else is getting. They give my Mustang a serious, sober, means-business look. A bit euroish, perhaps, but I like it. And I know the black-on-black fad is starting to get played out. In a perfect world, TSW would offer these wheels in charcoal or gunmetal grey, and I would have gotten those, but alas, Bat-Mustang it is.
I managed to weight these, along with the stock wheels on my bathroom scale. Stock wheels weighted in at 25lbs. TSW Interlagos at 20lbs. Overall total loss of 20lbs of rotational mass, which I would be bullsh..'ing you all if I said i felt any difference.
Had some troubles with the centercaps in the front not fitting entirely in, along with having to get thinner lugnuts to fit the holes on these wheels. I put a dab of contact cement on the front caps to keep them from falling loose. Eventually I will find someone with a good dremel and cut away some of the cap's rear plastic so it can fit on it's own in the front.
For now, you will all have to make do with a cellphone pic of the car. I'll see if tomorrow my amateur photographer coworker can get some nice SLR pics with his Nikon. If you have trouble seeing the wheels, just increase your brightness. Lol
