Alright, so I just got a decklid panel vinyl for my 2011 5.0.

and I was wanting to install it myself. When looking at the vinyl, the emblem cut out in the center isn't large enough to fit over it. So my question is, do I remove and replace the emblem or am I suppose to cut the vinyl to make it fit?
Or should I scrap that idea and just take it somewhere to get it done?

Don't cut the vynal. Remove the center cap with a heat gun and fishing wire. Install the vynal. Reaply new 3m tape and reattach emblem on top of vynal.

I agree with Rylay...dont try to cut it around the faux cap, it is unlikely you will get a nice clean cut. Its pretty easy to take it off with fishing line.

alright thanks for the info. I have removed and replaced my 5.0 emblems so I already have experience with the fishing line and 3m tape. Maybe in another week or so I will have time to try this and get some pictures up!

Does the new model line up with the key hole? So it doesn't go back on exactly right? On the 05-09 you just line it back up with the keyhole and make it level. It's exactly the same...

My 2011 doesn't have a key hole for the trunk, not sure if the 2010 has one and I would guess that everything after '11 doesn't have one.
