What is the best way to get my louvres off without damaging them. One section is slightly coming off, but the rest is still stuck on well.

+1 on the 90%+ alcohol, finger oils and farting. I used 3M tape for side and rear lovers with no issues. As for taking off louvers, a heat gun, fishing line and patience works best.

Use fishing line in a sawing motion. That'll do the trick.

Using fishing line is very time consuming......patience is key! I also used sand paper to get the remaining 3M sticky tape off the back of the louver.

Use the 3M 4298 Adhesion Promoter for the win.
90% alcohol is for the birds.
It contains way to many contaminates.
The Adhesion Promoter promotes adhesion.
And starts the curing of the adhesive as well...

Been there, done that.

Epoxy it on. Welding will melt the plastic...

Is it safe to put adhesion promoter on the car paint? The instructions I received was to use the adhesion promoter on the back of the louver, before applying 3M tape onto the louver. The alcohol swabs were to clean the area on the car, that the 3M tape would stick to.

The 3M double-sided Industrial Tape(GRAY), should work best. I used it on my '10 Pony Emblem and all four '10 Center Caps on my wheels. Been holding for two years now. Small items I know, but I PULL on them once in a while and they're all still tight, and sticking like new.
