Default 2007 Hood Struts from American Muscle Don't Fit

So I got these "05-12" hood struts from American Muscle for my 2007 Shelby GT, but they don't fit. All the pics on AM's site show the L brackets installed upside down. The only car they fit according to the pics on the site are 11-12 models. So does anyone know of some black hood struts that will fit an 07 perfectly? Thanks!

Look up the NXT Generation (Cal Pony Cars) hood struts. No drilling required and bolts up using factory hardware

Or go to Classic Design Concepts or MRT - both have black struts that bolt on in about 10 minutes, no drilling.

Hey,

We've actually got a new bracket coming out in about 2 weeks that will fix the confusion. We're sorry about that! The new bracket will allow it to be installed just as the directions say without having to flip it upside down. If you PM me your order number around 2/10/2012, I will send out a new set of brackets for you expedited!

Some people don't mind the bracket upside-down, but to make a cleaner install, we decided to redesign the bracket, and will now offer different part numbers with different brackets for 05-09 and 10-12. Sorry, and thanks again for your understanding!

I went with these from SHR. Easy install, work and look great.

I did the NXT Generation and they installed in about 10 minutes, bolting right up on my 06 GT.

They fit the 2005-2009 perfectly. 10+ Mustangs they fit if you flip the bracket, but we're releasing a new bracket for a "cleaner" install that will be specifically for 2010+. They should be here within the next week or two!

You should be set to go, though!

Guess I am confused then... Why does the OP say it doesn't fit his 07 Shelby GT? Does it use a 2010+ hood?

Yeah.... Same problem as the OP. Fit of the bottom bracket is ****. Called and someone from AM told me their supervisor told them that only some of the brackets are affected and they are shipping out a new set of the bottoms to me. I'll be surprised if they fit with how far off the original ones I got sent were. They fit upside down with the left side on the right and vice versa (if you like ugly fitment).
