Me likey.
So Jim, you make a major look improvement on the car and you're gonna part with it...

Anyway, it looks awesome.
Did you modify the CDC trim ring like I did or use something else?

It was either finish this hood that I started on in the fall, or paint the stock hood to get it ready to sell. Either way I had to do some work on a hood and the cost was the same. Decided I might as well get it set up the way I planned. (also had to fix a scrape on the rear quarter - backed it "into" the garage two weekends ago so since it had to go in to fix that I figured it was a good time to finish the hood.

And yes, with the help of a friend and his heat gun we modified it like you did. But I needed to do some more on the back. It sits a little high on the ends, so I guess I'll fill it in with some black gasket material or similar.

your going w/ a 3.7 instead of a 5.0?
figured you'd have gone w/ the 8 as an upgrade from the x

I considered the 5.0, but it was going to cost me so much more to get the convertible that I decided against it. Considered going with a coupe this time, and the grandkids were all disappointed.

Then I read more on the 3.7 and saw people are getting those into the 11's and when I put the numbers down on the spreadsheet, even after adding the turbo or centri blower I was still under the cost of the comparably equipped 5.0 (and of course I'd end up modding that and adding a blower eventually too).

I love the look of the hood, Jim. Nice job.

Sure sorry you're letting the Mustang go. I have to echo the previous "end of an era" comment. I sure enjoyed driving it when making all those parts runs when we were putting the intercooler on mine. The next owner is going to have one Hell of a Mustang.

OK, got you about the hood...

For the trim ring, heat it up a little more and remove more material at the back if you have to.
Mine fits perfectly so I know you can do it as well.
Good luck on the new car though.

Funny, my best friend's wife just bought a 3.7 2013 loaded. Picked it up today.
I have to admit that those 2013 are nice and I like the new tail section a whole lot better too.
Mustangs are getting fancy...
