Shaker Hood & FRPP Intake Manifold...Possible?
Has anyone tried mating a Shaker hood system with the FRPP Intake Manifold?
I have been thinking lately of the Shaker system, but I have the FRPP intake manifold and do not want to go back to the factory manifold. It looks like on the install instructions, that there is just one place at the back where the Shaker screws into. I am wondering if something could be fabbed up to mount the shaker over the FRPP manifold?
Any ideas?

I would say no, it won't fit. The part you're refering to is a rubber cup that clamps to the rear of the manifold via an allen screw. There is a metal ball on the underside of the shaker that pops into the rubber cup. Then on the front of the shaker there are two metal tabs that come down and over the front of the throttle body. You remove the two top screws that go through the throttle body. Then place the two screws through the metal tabs on the shaker back into the throttle body. The main issue I think would be there is VERY LITTLE space between the bottom of the shaker and manifold. Any deviance from the original manifold and the shaker won't sit right on the engine.
You're best bet is to find someone with a shaker and borrow it to do a test fit. They aren't hard to pull off. Take about 2 mins.
Here's a couple pics with the shaker removed. See the rubber cup towards the back just right center of the manifold? The two top holes in the TB is where the bolts go through the tabs on the shaker into the TB which holds the front of the shaker in place.
Here's a pic with shaker installed.

It can be done, you just have to be willing to do some cutting and fabricating to make it work. I mounted it directly to the hood on the car I just sold so that the shaker didn't trap heat on the blower when the hood was up, and opened up the mounting plate so that cooling air is going right on top of the blower when driving.
A friend was able to mount his with a Roush TVS blower on his 4.6. After Roush said 'it can't be done'
Just takes some time to figure out what to trim away, and where you need to fabricate your mounting system attachments.
