I actually slowed for the turn. It snowed that day (May 28th, I know) and I also have run ins alot with deer. I hit a piece of asphalt and game over. I thought the fence would be safe....just didn't know he'd fly. They had 5 deaths in that turn over the last 3 years. one 2 weeks before. And yes, his name is Rebel, though wasn't wanting to test that one. When I bought him in TX, I couldn't fiqure out what to name him, and I flipped on the stereo. Alabama's song When it all goes South was playing, and played the line "get yourself some rebel pride." name stuck ever since.

Me and the dog after the wreck. We're okay!

Dog sees that as HIS car... he NOT happy

now pictures that you all care bout. crappy, I know. mechanic took them, best he could do with no visibility.

The frame stayed straight on the UNDERSIDE. the upper part bent, but that's not so hard to pull. mechanic thinks 2-5 pulls, bout a $1000. not a single broken engine bracket, transmission still works, the rear is fine. thing turns over, starts, and roars just perfectly. I haven't been able to bring him home yet. I wrecked it almost 200 miles from home, but have batted my eyelashes enough to at least get a discounted tow by hopefully next week. Control arms probably broke, though hard to tell. I DO need a new bumper, fender, and probably a new front clip. New shocks, new tires, new fuel door, new Driver headlight (It works, just crunched) Driver side front marker, and the plastic cover where the oil fill cap comes out of (tore that clean off), and new windshield. It turns on, electronically, everything sound. Not a single code thrown. I think that's the impressive feat. might need knew driver seat belt. it stopped retracting after 1st impact, though I think I just need to pull the panal and it's probably just jammed up. Hood is trufiber, And I worked alot with fiberglass, and it's just got minor cracks. letters are off ebay for 0.99 each, did the measurements and spacing myself.

The door seperation was fixed already, the outer shell had just come loose, the fender also was moved back.
Please don't take offense but your car is worse than you think...
The passenger side door doesn't even close properly due to the impart from the other side!
Your A-pillar section (Where the door hinges bolt to) is all out of wack and it will take some tricky pulling to bring that back to specs.
You don't need a mechanic but rather a bodyman, and a good one at that.
Your car is very savable still, but make sure that who ever work on this is a professional, not a back yard grease monkey.

In the end, with paying out of pocket and all, it'd be best for you to find a shell (titled) if possible and swap everything to that.

Actually the passenger side door outside shell just separated from the inside part. That was fixed already, and the fender realigned (bolts moved a bit, it was moved back already.) the a pillar was fine on the passengers side. That side is uniformed and fixed now, easy part if repair. Driver side door was also separated, fixed that too. Its the driver side that needs most work.

All right then.
To me, when doors get out of wack, it's usually a bad sign.
Glad you got that fixed though...

Maybe you were going backwards when you

How many people are swallowing this story.
I read into it that you were going way too
fast for those 215/65-16s and lost control.
We dont take kindly to made up reasons for
a wreck caused by the drivers inability to
keep control of the vehicle.

Just love the "rebel" scheme.

You cant control a V6 on 16s and stepping up
to a GT500 with mundo ponies under the hood.
BTW, GT500 insurance is about twice as much as V6 insurance.
What are your parents thinking???

Rocks can cause blow-outs if they cause are big enough to tear the sidewall. Usually you hit it with the front and it stands it up and cuts the rear tire. But if she knew it was a rock that cut the tire then it was big enough to be seen and possibly avoided.
