Default Rim Logos Cooagulating?

Hi! I've been having a problem with my Lorenzo's. I got my car used, and I'm not entirely sure what the last guy may have done to cause this, but there's some kind of build up on my logo.

I turned all the lights off and used a bright flashlight so you can really see what I'm talking about. In the daytime it doesn't looks this bad at all. Also, I know my rims are filthy. My hometown just got flash flooded so I can't really wash her hahaha

I buffed them out as best as I could with some wax, and it improved them quite a bit, but it seems to continue to do this. The picture is of my worst one. Any help on resolving this issue would be awesome, thank you!

As I said, I'm not the original owner and it says that it's not covered by warranty. Also, the original owner lives 6 hours away.

Any other suggestions, or has anyone else had this problem?

Can you physically feel anything on them? Like chips and such?

No, it just doesn't feel as smooth as the plastic should. Nothing is physically chipped, it just kinda looks water spots. But like I said, I used the flashlight so you could see it really well, it doesn't normally look so awful.

Hmm, could be hard water spots but that looks really bad.. Maybe another pic in natural light might help... This is just a suggestion, but maybe a good buffing with very fine steel wool might help.. no wax, just fine fine steel wool.. I use it on glass all the time for water and hard to remove spots, works miracles..

Try a Meguires plastic headlight restoration kit to polish away the blemishes.

Might be some of that nasty yellow headlight stuff that 157 was talking about, but the weird pattern/texture makes me think it's probably warped plastic. I'd venture to guess it gets hot around there from the brakes(?) and maybe the plastic covers are of a cheap material so they fog up and partially melt...

Just shooting in the dark here.

Here's a much better photo:

You can see all the little scratches, I had forgotten about those -_-

If you are not able to fix it, AM sells all different types/sizes of center caps. I have the black cap with silver "M" flames.
