I A.J

I don't know if on a coupe your'e window pulls down 1/2" when you open the door like on convertible, if so, you get positive power from the door lock and the negative from the door striker, when you open the door the striker gives negative to the window motor to pull it down a bit, that way you don't have to run wires thought the pillar.

Synar where did you get those lighted door sills, how did you wire them up, how much do they cost, and do you think that they will fit a 2001 mustang gt convertible?

They were leftover from Ford, i paid $100 a pair, they do sell aftermarket in stores like American Muscle at $229 but only for 2005 and up. I tapped them on my map lamp wires. the 05 don't fit the 04 - , I saw them only at one place for my wifes 2003 at the time, it was more kind of a kit ; http://www.mrbodykit.com/index.php?m...roducts_id=123

Mine still works great, a real eye catcher in late show. I instal it right under the door panel trim, since my first post, seems it can be tapped into the door wiring, in my case, i went the hard way, through the pillar onto the map lamps

Thank you Synar
I went ahead and pulled the wire in through the pillar. Didn’t wait for your reply like I should have. But anyway these look great on my car everyone that has seen them really likes them. If anyone asks me how to wire them I am going to show them your post it seems much easier than what I did.

Yes....Coupe windows drop the 1/2in.

Still haven't gotten around to installing mine. This is a good tip....would like to see actual pix's of the wired hooked to those spots.

Yes, if someone can post a how to with pictures (wiring it to the door) would be great.

I saw these on eBay. They stick to the door instead of drilling a hole. Thoughts?
