anyone know if there is pics of the ghost light install through the latch harness like which harness the one to the actual latch or the one to the lock? and what color is the dome light + and - i have an 01 mustang. any help would be appreciated

How well do these lights work? How can they stay on? Will they work during the day time under the open hood and still be visible?
I'm thinking about rigging one up under the hood of my car in a discreet location, shining up on the underside of the hood.

Because the mercury switch relies on gravity to pull the mercury down to complete the circuit, it will only turn on when you open the hood. More commonly they are called tilt switches.
You can find them at Radio Shack in the parts drawers or just order one on ebay right here.
