Default Front Bumper Changes

So I got my car a year ago, had an aftermarket front end on it and the paint on it is peeling like sunburnt skin. Needless to say I need to replace the thing, so I was thinking of a couple different options. Buying a new front end and putting a chin spoiler on it (http://www.americanmuscle.com/cdcagchsp2gt.html). But my real question is whether I could put a bumper from a later model pony, mines a '07, onto it. I looked at the '07 Bullit but from what I saw it has the same front end as the GT which is pretty much the same as my V6. Anybody know whether the bumpers from the later ones would fit my '07, or should I just go with the above combo. Or does anyone know any other good options for front ends. I already saw the Roush front end on american muscle but I'd like to try and get something a bit cheaper.

There's a ton of different great bumpers out there. I'm sure with minimum work you could get majority of them to fit! I would probably just throw the 05-09 GT bumper on there with the CDC spoiler and call it a day.

This is just my opinion! Please let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future. Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266. I can also have one of them call you directly.

If your car is a V6 any 05-09 bumper would fit, and for GT front bumpers you'd need new brackets, grille and headlights, now if its a GT any bumper from any 05-09 should fit with no problems

FALSE

Not sure who told you GT headlights are different, and not sure what brackets you are talking about but they are the same.

If you have a V6 and want a GT front bumper the only things different you will need are:

-GT Bumper
-GT Foam support
-GT fender liners (front half)
-GT Grille

Another option is the Cali Special/Shelby GT front bumper as it would not require a chin and IMO is one of the nicer looking bumpers for this platform. $307 from Tousley Ford

You are right. What gets me is that Ford's online list is 399 (you can get it for up to up to 100 less (299), yet aftermarket sellers are asking more than Ford list price for the same kit. Funny, how you can order it and have it painted by the dealer, for less than what some of the aftermarket sellers want for their unpainted price. I know everyone has to make money, but in some cases, it is absolutely ridiculous.

The CS/GT rear bumper has a list of 355 on it from Ford. (6R3Z6320049BA is the number).

LRS has pretty good prices on the CS Front/Rear bumpers as well.

LRS wants 429 for the same bumper (same number and all), where Ford is 399 online direct to any dealership. Your local dealership can make the price what they want under the 399 price. My dealer went to 313, another Tousley (? sic) was 307 the other day. It's up to you, but I certainly don't like paying over 1oo more to buy from another supplier, when I don't have to. Just saying. It certainly pays to check around before buying.

Sorry LRS, I know you are a sponsor, but in this case, too expensive for me, and the shipping was free. To a guy in Alaska, that is a really big part of buying big, bulky parts. The freight is ridiculous as hell. Over 300 to Alaska for that bumper. Free from Ford. You choose.
