some touch up work on my shaker hood
my shaker hood scoop has been looking a little old and faded. Went to cars and coffee Charlotte, parked next to some good looking mustangs, and decided I was fed up with the way the scoop looked. Swung by my local parts store, grabbed some scotch bright, tape and paint, and an hour later, voila!

Looks better.
On my old car I painted it black as well, but I also used some fine sandpaper to take the paint off the top ribs and the front grille of the scoop. It is a little hard to see here and I can't find the better pictures right now
Edit: Just found some from before the hood was painted that shows the ribs
