For my 2012 mirror caps, I went to NAPA and got a can of made up in an aerosol paint. I did the clean up and sanding, wiped everything down with reducer, ran a tack cloth then shot it with the spray. (I tried a spare side window louver before doing the caps to make sure I had the paint down right). It came out very well. 3 days later, I took some compound and glossed it up. Not bad, and I saved quite a bit. I had about 22 in the paint, and maybe 5 in other materials and tack, so for about 27 I painted my mirror cap to my correct color. I have about 2/3 a of can left to paint other items or do any touch up.

If you have the money the Agent 47 mirrors look great. I was skeptical when I got mine but pulled the trigger anyway, and I'm glad I did.

I know better than to trust myself with paint though.

The red looks great. Stands out. Nice.

I had mine painted to match (sitting in the garage color UA) but black with black gloss doesn't stand out as much as a combination of flat/gloss. I went to the 2012 mirrors, as they were only 100 plus postage, so that was close to the cost of caps alone.

They stand out better and they have the different shape (than the 05-09) and one came in UA black already. I painted the other. I like the look and the convex mirror corners, as I have window louvers, so it helps immensely with visibility on the right side.

I'm a big fan of the 2010+ mirrors, I hope to get a set, paint them black and get some real CF caps from Trucarbon *Trufiber's carbon fiber division
