Super Snake hood grille project
I've had a SuperSnake hood on my car for a few years, but I was getting tired of the flat/matte black paints not holding up to the sun (chalking and/or blistering) and requiring a repaint almost every driving season.
Decided to do it a little different this year, and applied 3M Di-Noc to the grille slats. Was a real pain as every slat in the Shelby grilles is a slightly different length and shape, so I had to create multiple patterns to cut out the Di-non appliques, and then putting them in place was "fun" with access to slats being blocked somewhat by the adjoining ones.
Overall, very happy with how it turned out:

Looks great boss.
For future reference... use single stage acrylic enamel with catalyst for semi-gloss black.
8 to 1 ratio. I spray that stuff and never look back.
Used it a lot on my car...
You will need compressed air and a paint gun for the job though.

Yep, tried exactly that last year, no bueno...
May have been a bad batch or something (used the same brand before with no headaches).
I'm liking this for now, gives it a subtle detail touch (the pattern is more apparent to the camera vs. eyeball by about 50%)
