Default A/C vent fix

Hi guys, first time posting. I have owned my 06 GT since it was new. A couple of years ago one of the A/C vents would close completely everytime I hit a bump in the road. Another vent started to do the same thing. It was driving me nuts so here is my fix.

Just grab the vent ring and pull, the vent will come off.

I have these tiny grommets from another project, I had the slice them to make them fit, you can use a think piece of rubber band.

this is were the sliced grommet will be installed. Push it in with a tiny screw driver or knife

Grommet going in

Here is the Grommet completely push in. No more self closing vents

Reinstall the vent and you are all done. Vents can still be closed manually

Nice fix. My friend's GT has this issue. I'll pass it on. Thanks

Thanks, I am sure a small piece of wood or plastic would work just as well. I used the Grommetts since I had them laying around
