Heineken bottle
So, I clipped an empty bottle. Damn thing flipped up and shattered on my driver side door. Actually chipped the paint in like 4 little places. :\ Right in the center of the door. Its going to have to be sanded down and repainted. Now I'm wondering if this will have to be blended intro the front and rear panels to match. Paint is in great shape, I'm just scared it'll be noticeable.
anybody got any tips? Pascal?
So, I'm on the hunt for a body shop in DFW.

there's really nothing you can do. sometimes it will match, sometimes it won't. the paint shop will blend the best they can.
i will say, use gray primer. i noticed when i repainted some sections on my car, if the primer wasn't gray it affected the base coat i layed down over it, either making it too dark or too light.

Something (my wife claimed it might have been a cat) accidentally dislodged a digging bar in my garage, about 30 lbs anyways, and it landed on my hood when I had the car less than a year. It happened to be near some gardening tools that the wife was using. Anyways, I had a large dent in the hood. I took to my uncle who has done cars for me in the past to have it blended in. I have Vista Blue Metallic. Turned out pretty bad! I waited until he went to Florida for the winter and had a body shop paint the entire hood. Cost $400, looks almost as good as new. I didn't want to hurt my uncle's feelings, he has been pretty good to me with touching up my cars.

Honestly, I'm contemplating repainting the car. I've got some minor boogers front and rear, this door thing, and a hood that has some deep road pitting. Looks great from 15 feet away. But I know it's there.

Where do you live in the Metroplex. I have all of my painting done at Texas Motors Ford. They did my original stripe and have repainted the front and rear bumpers a couple times. I have always been extremely pleased with the work.
