Short of getting a piece of vinyl cut are there any smooth matt black deck lid panels that keep the faux gas cap? Was there an OEM piece like his for the V-6?

They didn't come OEM on the 05...I haven't seen any smoothe matte black, the closest would probably be the magnetic one on americanmuscle.com ....but I would recommend Vinyl over that.

I plasti-dipped my decklid on my 05 GT, very easy to do, and looks great! Also a heck of a lot cheaper than buying one.

Plasti-dip looks like doo-doo in direct sun. I got a vinyl blackout panel from rocky mountain on ebay. It looks perfect and it was around $20 I believe.

I have the factory blackout that looks like doo doo in the sun I'm gonna wrap mine with matte black vinyl

thats one thing thats bugging the heck out of me and keeping me from getting an s550, once I get my car done I'll be god damned if I sell it to someone and give them my decked out stang!
