Radical custom 2005-2009 S197s?
I've loooked through the web quite a bit and am curious what the gaudiest, most over-the-top S197 body kit or set of body mods you've seen. Obviously, most of us are looking for something a little more subdued and a gifted sculptor with a can of bondo can do almost anything, so let's see what's out there. I'm looking for something ala the Mark Hammill (sp?) movie Corvette Summer and other 70s-style customs with riidiculous, questionably-functional, and over-the-top mods. Anyone? How about Donks?

IMHO, the best thing appearance-wise you can do to a 05-09 Mustang is the Shelby front clip and rear spoiler, and the new Raxiom 13-style taillights. You have a few options for hoods, but I like the KR-style, a low cowl, or the Tiger Racing hood (if it's available for the early cars).
FWIW, bondo won't stick to the plastic bumper covers.

Ok, that Stallion kit is pretty ugly. Why do people insist on trying to style these after Japanese tuner cars? I even own a 240z, so I appreciate the Japanese take on the muscle car, but an S197 is not a Civic that desperately needs SOMETHING, ANYTHING to save it from drowning in a sea of its own monotony. I'm still not well-versed in various hoods/headlight/taillight treatments, but I think the GT500 style hood is the one with the low long scoops that are close to the front of the hood - I really like those. For the money, though, I'd rather spend it on something that makes it faster - no one's going to see your GT500 hood from 6 carlengths behind you. I kind of like mine now without any additional doodads, but it might not whet my whistle forever.
As for Corvette Summer, I think it exists entirely to answer the question "Why haven't I seen Mark Hamill in anything since the Star Wars movies?" I love those movies like most in my generation did, having grown up with them - I think Star Wars was the first movie I ever saw in the theater, but looking back even then Luke was a whiney lil b%*ch if there ever was one...
