Default Brake upgrade visually

Got a take off brembo set from a 08 GT500. Powder coat was damaged, looked like someone rubbed them against the concrete. I didn't like the black anyway. I am using VHT caliper paint. I ordered some clear coat VHT since I couldn't find it at a local store. Drew the Brembo logo up in CAD and had a local shop print me out some vinyl stencils. Decided on red base with black logo, bolts, and equalizing tube. Here's what I have so far. These don't have clear coat on them yet, all spray can paint. That's logo is painted, not a sticker.

Other sides are coming along just as well, I just need to go find some more red paint since I ran out.

That is sharp! What color is that? Looks orange-ish.

I had red Cobra calipers on my 01 GT, which was a black car. Looked great. I'd like to paint the calipers on my 07, but with a Vista Blue car I'm not sure what color would look good.

It's VHT brand red. It looks slightly orange due to the lights I had it under. It's red as can be under the sun.

I threw the first coat of clear on them yesterday. It's raining today so I probably won't get anything done.

Third and final coat of clear went on yesterday and got baked (for the front halves - I had to repaint the backs because they got dropped). I haven't buffed them yet, just raw clear coat.

They look a little darker in the picture than in person. Probably due to it being really bright outside and my phone lowering the exposure time.

The back halves are getting a second coat of red today then 2-3 coats of clear depending on how many I can get with the 2 cans I have left.

Looks great.

Be aware that spray can stuff is not as durable as sprayed paint with catalyst (hardener) in it.
Also, chemical cleaning product and heat will take its toll on the finish as well.
Powder coating is a good durable solution on most of this stuff nowadays.

Another trick that I used for years with great results is to spray calipers (and intake manifolds on old cars) with Acrylic Enamel single stage paint.
Mixing ratio is 8 parts of paint to one part of catalyst.
Of course, you need compressed air and a paint gun for that...
