So finally went and got my rims and tires done. Still messing with stance ideas. Will lower it soon. So far I went from 255 40 18 all around, to 245 45 18 in the front, and 265 35 18 in the back. Let me know what you think. Thanks everyone.

Not enough sidewall in the rear IMO, looks funny. Other than that, I do think the GT500 rims look good on it.

No I definitely agree. I'll end up going with 40s in the front to level it out. It's just too much and looks weird with the smaller tire. I'm getting my springs and struts in and it'll lower the car 1.6 in the front and 2 in the back.

265/35-18 is way too short. 265/40-18 is about as short of a tire (at about 26.3" or 26.4" tall) that I'd ever consider for a S197 for everyday, normal driving. At 265-wide, it's also about the widest I'd really want to put on 9.5" wide wheels (for other reasons).

You're stretching those 245/45's a little. Being only half an inch above max recommended doesn't bother me, but having visibly more sidewall up front than out back does get my attention enough to ask why. I don't think that lowering by itself can visually fix this sidewall height issue.

I agree with Norm, I just got 275/40 18's on my pony, I'm not lowered. The stance is much better than 17" stock.

Yea I bothers me lol. The issue was being 300 miles from home and no tire shop. I had a blow out on the sidewall in the rears and the only shop was a used tire shop and they only had those in stock. I'll end up getting new 265 40s for the rear when I can get them.
