ABS Hood Scoop Question

ABS Hood Scoop Question
For those that have installed one of the ABS "fake" hood scoops on their car, how have they held up over time? Do they warp or get "wavy" from the heat or sun? I'd hate to drill holes in my hood only to have a bad-looking hood scoop in a couple of years.
Thanks.
Thanks.

plain ABS does tend to deform over time and with exposure to heat. I wouldn't want it for a hood scoop, fake or not. a better option (and what the OEs would typically use) is a blend called PCABS which isa mix of polycarbonate and ABS plastic. If higher mechanical strength is needed, it can be found with 10-20% glass fiber fill (GF-10 or GF-20.)
