TMI Sport RS seats

TMI Sport RS seats
So I had been wanting some new seats pretty bad, but I was having a hard time with the thought of giving up the extra options on the factory GT/CS equipment like the two-tone leather, 6 way power adjust, adjustable lumbar, and heat to go with a racing seat that didn't quite match my interior. Then I saw the MM&FF article on the TMI Sport RS seats, and started drooling. This spring I made the call and placed a custom order to match the GT/CS factory interior. TMI was supper easy to deal with and gave me a smoking deal on the upholstery. They were happy to send out test swatches at no charge to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted.
Before
After
Even with professional installation I spent less than I would have for just one Recaro spec'd to match my interior. I would have been able to get a heated/cooled seat, but I would have to give up the factory power adjust.
I had to adjust my position a little to find a new most comfortable position and I would have preferred a slightly stiffer foam, but they are nice, and they are comfy. The extra bolstering definately has me more centered in the seat with less lateral squirm. !00% leather, not just a leather front, airbag compliant, and the colors match the factory really well. The perforated gray is just a smidge darker than the factory dove, but it isn't enough that you would notice if you didn't know.
I didn't opt to do the rear seat. I figured I'd rather get a fair match through the custom order and do a rear seat delete than bother re-doing the factory rear seat.
I still have the factory upholstery (minus the headrests) and don't know what to do with it. I just even don't know if there is a market to sell it. Do people buy that type of take off?

If it's in good condition, people will buy it, you won't believe how worn I've seen some seats, mostly people with new to them cars looking for a cheap upgrade. Also, the base package was cloth seats and someone might want the "leather trimmed" option instead.
