heres the issues i'm having:

- Shift boot: Get an aftermarket shifter--------the shift boot should'nt be a hard fix, somehow just lubricate where the boot snaps into the console.

- Plastic trim behind the inside door handle pull: Take it off and add a thin dab of silicon to the back or stick on a piece of thin weatherstrip...re-install and its fine-can you elaborate or show a pic? mine is rattling from, what i can see, theres a little gap at the front.........i think i'm just gonna shove a little piece of black felt in there to get it to stop moving around

- Little plastic piece inside of the passenger door grab: Dynamat-elaborate?
- Plastic housing that goes over the latch on the trunk lid: Dynamat-i have this..........but usually hear it when the seats are down-elaborate on where the dynomat goes?
- Somewhere behind center console at idle: Need fix action (I have this problem, too)
- Vents: Need fix actioni have a CONSTANT squeaking (like a mouse) coming from the drivers side vent..........i think i'm just gonna order a new one; they're only 26 bucks.

ALSO: i have a rattle coming from the trunk. very vexing, but mostly can only hear it with the seats down. sounds like a buzzing, i'm pretty sure its the little metal brackets that mount the trunk carpet to hold up. at this point i feel like just covering it with playdough.

but really, what do you guys think?

I have fixed the rattle(s) that come from the outboard ends of the dashboard. It is the rattle than can be stopped by "jamming" something between the windshield pillar molding and the turned-down corner of the dash pad. On my '05 GT, I had the same rattle occuring on both the right & left sides.
On my vehicle, the rattle noise was caused by looseness of the windshield moldings where they met down in the top corner of the dash. These moldings have two small "L" fingers on the bottom of the moldings which fit down into corresponding slots in the top of the dash. It appears these were designed to be an interference fit, causing the molding to be held snugly to the dash. In my case, this didn't happen. It appears that these molding fingers fit loosely in the slot. When chassis/body movement occurs, the molding instead, rubs, rattles, squeaks, etc.
In order to address this, I removed the moldings. In the small area of the dash where the molding fingers are inserted, I cut small rectangular pads out of adhesive-backed felt tape the same size as the "butt" end of the molding taped them down onto the dash where the pillar molding is attached. (Before installation, I cut small slits in the tape to allow the molding fingers to pass through). With the felt pads in place, I reinstalled the moldings.
These felt pads act like a cushion and insulate the moldings from the dash. This tape takes up where there is excessive molding movement (rattle) and insulates where their is lack of
clearance (rub and/or squeak).
I was successful on a first attempt with the right side and required a second attempt to fully correct the left side problem.
Hope the helps.

When I hear the noise, to isolate I generally lean on the seat a bit with my right arm to see if that's where it's coming from. Though I just noticed the other day that I often lean on the headreast and not the seat back.
I have this passenger seat rattle as well. Only when unoccupied. If you fix it please let me know. I also had a terrible e-brake rattle that was mitigated (but not eliminated) by tightening the cable.

Ditto. I've had a couple of the rattles described in this thread. I had the rattle from the plastic panel beind the interior door handles - fixed by removing the panels and sticking some foam tape to the back. I also had the buzzing coming from the shifter boot - fixed by replacing it with an aftermarket leather shift boot (which also looks a lot nicer).

Couple that I haven't fixed yet - I have a 2008 GT Vert and am getting a rattle from the driver's side windows over bumps or rough roads. I am assuming they are a bit loose or misaligned but this is one of those things I'll have to bring up with dealer (and then fight with them to get it serviced).

Also in warm weather, when I am first starting to move the car I hear a ticking or creaking that sounds like its coming from one or more of the dashboard vent louvres. Only happens when I am moving the car from a dead stop, and then usually only when I first start the car. Does anyone know how to remove the dashboard vent louvers? I tried just pulling them off
but couldn't get them off. Didn't want to pull too hard and risk breaking something.
