By the way Jay, thanks for keeping such good track of the posts numbers and data.
And you too Northy, thanks for keeping count of the thunker club members ;-).
I'm sure this will all come in handy!

My GT coupe has a build date of April 7th, and the more that I look at those drawings the more I'm sure that my car has the additional brace. I can take a pic and post it, but the brace that I see has the tubular midsection, flat ends, and four bolts.

Could this be a manufacturing change before the TSB?

I only have 500 miles on the car but I don't hear anything from the suspension, and that's comparing it to my Lexus daily driver. (Not that I expect the Mustang to compare, but in this case it actually does!)

Well, I have written to the Board of Directors, Customer relationship Center, and the Dealer.
Tonight I wrote to Bill Ford.
I asked Mr. Ford to authorize my Dealer to install:
1ea Crossmember# 4R3Z5025A
4ea Crossmember nuts# W711533-S440

Edit: I also mentioned to Mr. Ford that @ 2800 miles the crossmember may fix it.
At 5000 miles, who knows??

Hey Wayne! Welcome to the thunkers club ;-).
Fuggin Eh man!
Your discription is spot friggin on!
Sounds like you do indeed have the cross member that is missing on our coupes.
Also that's a very very good sign that Ford has made the correction and is now selling non-thunking Mustangs of all models! Excellent!

Now if only I can enturpret that to be a good sign that Ford will indeed be releasing the TSB to install them on our cars! Perhaps yet another good sign our prayers are about to be answered.
But I'll have one (solid steel rod) on my car before then anyway and it won't cost $310 with nuts plus installation and tax!

Thanks very much for giving us a heads up!

You can call your dealer and have the parts guys look them up. They are available but by order only as far as I know.
As to your other questions, there are other threads that address the pypes and exhaust sounds etc.
Good luck!

Ya Wolfey, as my research showed also that every model Mustang had a different part # strut. Could be the conv had better struts too. I still think that other than the POS upper mounts we have a bad design strut. Too weak a rebound valving allowing the strut to bounce. Now throw in the support braces to strengthen/absorb/transmit suspension noise into the chassic. And Northy found out with the swaybar, that maybe agood strong/heavy swaybar keeps the suspension from bouncing and making the noise. I hope my swaybar comes in today, I'll have in on in no time and let you guys know.
Ya I put my VIN# in with the letter to prove I'm a customer.
I don't know if you need to make a form letter Wolfey. These people on this thread should be able to pick up a pen oruse the computer to write their own letter to Mr. Ford. As I said a page back, these people that have been sitting back have to step up to the plate and get involved. Sqeaky wheel or whatever the analogy, the more that get the point across to Mr. Ford, "that we want our cars fixed" the better.

Ya Wolfey, I thought more about the form letter and it reminded me of those form letters activist send out wanting you to sign and send to Congress. I don't think they do much.
I appreciate your thought on it. I know your trying to make it easier for people to get involved. But in my opinion a personal letter from a unhappy customer would get better attention from Mr. Ford or his secretary. What I believe is the main goal is for Ford to step up and finally ackowledge it is going to fix our cars on xx/xx/07. Not the stuff we've gotten so far,"Normal Characteristic ofCar" to "Live With It' to"No Fix" to"Under Investagation" to "beginning of 2nd quarter" to "May15th-June15th" to "end of June" to your last response of " don't bother us anymore". If this doesn't sound like a delay tactic I don't know what.
But Wolfey do as you please. I don't want to tell you or anyone what to do or say. I just needed to get these ideas off my chest and to vent a little.
