To the one that the dealer didn't hear the noise (or anyone in the future) You drive the mechanic or service guy. Find a bumpy road before hand and take him there. I did and he heard it right off the bat. The guy that tested it probably drove a mile down the main road and turned around. Keep at them. And it's good to hear that others are finally getting a respose from Ford. I hoping for my response this week. Oh and wolfey2k, don't glote over this. If you were getting the "live with it" from Ford and you heard of only one person got an answer, you'd have your doupts too. Well, lets get this shi_ behind us and start enjoying Spring. Car Shows and Cruises and rides on a country road. Aaahhhhhhhh. I already picked up my car care stuff, Wax, towels etc. Just have to get rid of this 0 degree crap.

Hey Jay, KMA man!
You presume to know something about my experiences and efforts? If you read all of my posts from the beginning you'd realize that I have experienced the same innitial problem, got the same run around and I DID SOMETHING ABOUT IT! I took effective calculated measures to ensure the problem was addressed and corrected not just for my benefit but for everyone's benefit!
If I want to gloat, I have a perfect right to but again, if you read my posts you'd realize I wasn't gloating. However, I am open to anyone who wishes to acknowledge my EFFECTIVE efforts in bringing this problem to a close.
I'll thank you to not attack me or anyone else on this thread. Only jealous people make comments like the one you just made so get over it and be happy that your problems will soon be over, well at least teh thunking problem. As for the rest I have no idea what you're taking for that. Good luck with it though.
Later!

Don't worry, I have no jealousy over people thatuseterms like "I told you so." It's not fun when people throw words in your direction is it. If you remember you started it with "you need to get laid" and "neurotic". When I would voice my opinion on the thread you never held back with your comments. You want to use the word "attack", well you've done your share too. I don't knock your efforts or anyone else's in the thunking problem. Myself along with most everyone have done their fare share in attempts to solve this problem. My only reason to be involved on this thread was to try and help people resolve this issue. When I or anyone would suggest possible reasons that didn't match your own you had no trouble jumping on the case. So I'll be glad when this problem is over for all of us. Let the spitting match end.
Then quit spitting, quit whining and be calm for once!
A thank you is all I need to hear from you Jay. That's it if anything.

I would like to thank everyone for their contributions in regards to this issue.
Once my thunk is fixed then I'll start asking questions about tuner & CAI.
Not yet...Fix thunk first.
Thanks again.

My car has 15,000 miles. I had eibach prokit springs and, tokico dspec struts shocks installed at 12,500 miles. I first noticed front right corner Thunking Noise at 13,800 miles. It’s loud and annoying. I went back to the installer and they noticed the noise when I drove in the car with the installer. So they tightened up the strut mounting blots. This did not solve the problem so they mechanic got under the car. He thinks the right control arm has a loose connecter, but that is completely safe. Then he told me I should take it back to ford.
1. So will Ford even bother trying to fix my problem?
2. Did I void my warranty installing better springs and struts and shocks?

Read the previous articles and look at the pics of the missing cross member on coupes. Ours are missing that part which is believed to lead to strut clacking due to body flex.
Did you have the thunking before you installed the new assemblies?
If so, you may be covered but I hightly doubt that Ford will cover anyone who has modified their front suspensions in that way.
You can always ask after the TSB comes out but again they can probably say no way due to the mods you've made even if it would correct your problem.
Good luck though!
