RE: Does your 2005-2007 Mustang have a water leak?
Perhaps a second poll might also be in order based upon year and body style. '05 coupe, '05 vert, '06 coupe, etc. I have seen many posts on different Mustang forums describing this same condition but to date I have seen no S197 convertible owners making any complaints. I have been mulling this over and a theory is formulating. Verts. have much more body flexing due to less resistance to flex, ie. a hard top. As a vert flexes the windshield will move with the flexing as there is little or no resistance from the soft top. A coupe on the other hand would experience a lot of latteral forces between the flexing body, the "A" pillars, the fixed glass, and the fixed roof. On a vert the main area of flexing is in between the "A" and "B" pillars. On a coupe it looks like the main area of flexing moves forward to encompass the "A" pillar and the cowl area. From what I've read the majority of problems seem to occur at the lower window seal or through the cowl area.
If y'all see any holes in my logic, please feel free to add comments or suggestions.
Thanks

Might be a good idea to narrow the poll results. I have an 06 coupe and so far have no problems. Since becoming aware of this issue I have been checking periodically.

I too have a leak-free 2006 vert. Though I don't often drive it in the rain, the car was parked outside inand driven in the late Juneeleven inch downpour that we had in the mid atlantic, and it stayed bone dry.
Probably woould have been a good idea to have some more choices for the results, but I am not a statistician so what do I know. Forgive my pedestrian attempt at data collection.
But I do know that, as of yet, the poll results are not terribly disturbing compared to problems with other american cars. On a similar poll last year,we learned that over 14 percent of Cadillac CTSVforum membershad either blown their rear differentials or had a leak in it....
From a quality perspective the manufacturers should take notice, though!
