Default April 15th Palms to Pines Twisty Run

Attention Mustang owners in LA/OC/San Diego/Inland Empire/High Desert/Low Desert areas!

Save the date for the best cruise of the year on April 15. It is an all day cruise from Palm Desert to Julian for lunch and then San Diego for dinner. The twisties are amazing and there will be plenty of wide open spaces.

This cruise will be on about 50 different car forums across Southern CA. All kinds of cars will be represented, so bring your camera. More details (maps, times, restaurant meeting places, addresses, etc.) will be posted by the first week in March.

Ashes, let me know how you're going to go, I might meet up with you at Julian or Santa Ysabel and head back in to SD to get some grub with everyone...

Does this have anything to do with the OC Cruise? Like the sequel to the one we just had?

Ok, here are the major details guys...

When: April 15- 11:00 a.m. Home Depot parking lot- 34249 Monterey Ave. Rancho Mirage, CA 92270. Leave at 11:30 a.m. for Julian. Have lunch at Romano’s Dodge House- 2718 B St. Julian, CA92036. Eat lunch at 1:30 p.m. Leave for San Diego by 3:00 p.m. Arrive in San Diego at around 5:00 p.m.- Los Panchos De Charly Mexican Grill & Cantina -431 E Street San Diego, CA 92101-6111. Dinner will be at 5:30 p.m.

Directions for the Trip: 10 East, Exit Monterey Ave., go south (right), look for the Home Depot (there is an IHOP next to it) on the right side of Monterey, which is about 1/8 mile off of the freeway. From the Home Depot parking lot, head south (right out of the parking lot) on Monterey Ave., which is the 74 south. Take 74 south all the way to the 371 southwest (CAHUILLA RD.), turn left onto 371, stay on the 371 until you see the 79 heading southwest, make a left to catch the 79, take the 79 south until you see signs for the 78 toward Julian. Make a left on the 78 toward Julian (it will say 78 Julian Road/79), follow the signs to Julian. Once you get to downtown Julian, follow the signs for 78/79 and make a right at the first stop sign, then make an immediate right onto B Street. Meet at Romano’s Dodge House on 2718 B St. Julian, CA92036.

After lunch in Julian, follow signs for the 79 south and go to the Sunrise Highway (S1 south). Take the S1 south past Laguna Mtn. to Highway 8. Take highway 8 west toward San Diego. Take the 125 south and then merge onto 94 west. Take the 94 west to the 5 heading north. End at 431 E. Street in San Diego. Go to http://www.lospanchosdecharly.com/ for a look at the menu for dinner. If you have any further questions, feel free to e-mail Chris at cekrem@gmail.com.

Note: I am not the organizer of this cruise, just helping a fellow GTO owner get the word out.
