OK my mind is made up. Pink and blue it is!!! How gross is that? Wow. Now if I could only figure out how to tie dye a car I'd be set.
I headed down to work on the car last night after picking up more paint remover, just in time for a home cooked meal. Thanks mom!
One problem, I forgot my camera?!!! Oh well, I borrowed theirs. The pictures are a bit off since I didn't have the flash on for the first few so please forgive me.
I got started removing the remaining paint.
And Wes continued to shape the rear end.
Some of the paint was proving to be a pain in the butt to remove.
And we needed to remove the trunk lid to fix a bump in it. Wes pounded on it with a big hammer but I have no pics of that because I was holding it at the time, sorry.
It's starting to come off, slowly but surely.
Here's a handy dandy sander that works wonders for getting things aligned.
And he swears this is the last of the heavy duty Bondo we'll need to apply.
I love it when a plan comes together?
Removed the hood and fenders to get the last of the paint out of the nooks and crannies. This side is almost done!
I hope to have these prepped and ready to paint with primer by Saturday.
It was getting late so I didn't get this side all finished quite yet.
So that's all we got done last night.
I'm heading down to work on it again on Thursday and will hopefully have all the external paint removed. I'll still need to do the door wells and some other prep work but if things go well we'll be putting on the primer this weekend!!
I decided when we removed the hood and fenders that I'm going to get rid of the antenna and cover up the hole while I have the chance. I'll just find one of the windshield ones out there.
Thanks again for all the support. The donations are up to $120!!! I am still looking for a GT rear bumper cover and rails if anyone has them.

Again, I think green stripes is going way too far for a daily driver. I do think the two stripes was much more acceptable than 1 offset stripe, but still green is just going to far.
Green with black stripes was better, but... You better be a Spartans fan with that.
Some nice blue with white stripes or reverse would be nice. Or keep it clean and just one color.
Exactly! One off stripe looks like turds, goota have two!

I was curious what it would look like if it was repainted black with an off center green stripe, so I photoshopped it up.
Of course, thats a GT, and the photoshopping isn't perfect, but it kinda gives you an idea of what it would look like.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this project turns out, good luck with it!
I actually like the black and green color combo, curious if you could photochop it with the same colors but in a traditional two center stripe????
