wow, I just spent over an hour reading through all this pages. lol AWESOME THREAD! I am thinking of doing this mod. I am so sick and tired of feeling like a beginner sometimes when I try to engage first gear, lol. You step on the pedal you almost stall then you over rev, and possible snap your neck or spin in the rain haha. Anyways, those of you that have done this mod and had not had any issues, please post. I dont care what I have to do, I will fix this freakin lag . ha

Yes- there are times it surges violently. Then there are times when the throttle response is feeble.

I did it recently and it worked just fine. It's a little tight getting in there so take your time, cause I actually snap the connector clip on the wiring harness for my gas pedal. It was nothing that some super glue couldn't fix but I was rushing. As far as the end results: they are well worth the effort. Absolutely NO LAG! Just like tube describes it, you move the gas pedal a micro inch and you will get a response from the engine RPM's. I think it has made the car feel much more connected to me.

Not a GT, but I did this on my X-charged 4.0 automatic with 3.73's.

Works great. I shifted the cover instead of bending the contacts. Got rid of the deadband.

Best freebie mod I've done.

Default Rev. 4 board here

Put me down as one of the people with the Rev. 4 board who performed the mod. First impression is that it helped a tiny bit but not much. I'll have to take it around the block a few more times to be able to really tell. My car is a 2006 GT.

Interested, I never saw this thread, but also never really had this problem because my Brenspeed tune was installed not long after I owned the car.

I will say this, you may want to be careful if you ever have anyone drive your car. When VALET's go to park mine they always give it to much throttle at first. I was pissed the first time, but then my GF told me she has the same problem anytime she drives it. Today the valet was real entertaining. He was on and off the gas about 3 times just to go 50 feet. Kept giving it to much. Gotta have a foot like a feather in my car.
