Default How to: Install Turn Signal Lamps

I didn't see any write ups and I decided to switch my blacked out turn signals to a set of clears from www.blueovalindustires.com for $68.00 shipped. So anyways I decided to do a write-up for those who want to do this mod themselves. It is very simple and takes about 20 minutes of your timewhile being careful.

Tools needed:
-1/4" Drive Ratchet
-7mm Socket
-10mm Socket

1.) Turn wheel all the way in or out (whatever you feel is easiest, I chose in) and remove three 7mm bolts from the fender liner inside the fenderwell.

2.) Next pull the liner out past the bumper so you will have access to your turn signals.

3.) Now remove two 10mm nuts, which are attached to a bolt on the opposite end.

4.) Pull back on the peice holding your turn signal in place(where you just removed the two 10mm nuts/bolts), this will unlatch your turn signal from the other end. Before doing so, detach your turn signal bulbs from the connectors by putting pressure on the prongs and slowly pulling outward on the connectors. Follow this by pushin in on the two outer clips to allow yourself to detach the turn signal lamps.

5.) Switch your bulbs from your old turn signals to your new ones by twisting them out of their sockets.

6.) For the reinstallrepeat these steps backwards, but here is an easy way to get the turn signal back in place.

Finally, here is the finished product!

I don't use my headlights anymore because of the tint, so the fogs together weren't cutting it.

I had them blacked out before if you look at the pictures and personally thought the clears flowed better, with the chrome lip that will be on my new rims and the foglights. I'm going to be doing Agent47 mirrors, grille, and headlights shortly. Also I want to remove the stripe and add the 3D carbon hood and then have flat black stripes painted on.

I forgot, I also have stripes on the side, hereare two pictures:

Because I like waffles!

Yeah, I don't know though maybe they are made on a waffle press? [sm=alien.gif]
