Glad to see you wrote this write up since I'm going to be getting the D3....just have one question, I noticed a set of switches on the left side of the power socket, what are they for?

I have my radar detector hard wired into the car, and it comes with a mute button, so I took the shell apart and installed the circuit board behind the blank button area since I don't have mycolor...

Why does the AVIC need to be tapped into the speed control? Is this for the navigation to calibrate how fast your traveling?
