I wanted to do something like that a long time ago, classic mustang with modern drive train/ safety etc
then ford built the s197, so I didn't have to build any thing
but your project is how I would of rather had ford do it.
good luck

Love the Idea, but I doubt very seriously if this can be pulled off, The simple fact of
the matter is this is a HUGE untertaking, I would not want to be responsible for the safe
operation of this vehicle once completed....But GOOD LUCK, and best wishes!
You are absolutely correct, it is a HUGE undertaking. However this is what we do in our shop. We have modified many vehicles and custom cars from scratch and used them for show and commerically. We previously built our own limousines from 30's and 40's cadillac, stretching up to 6ft all hand crafted and modifying each one to show winning standards and street safety. The limos are on the front page of our website. "Huge undertakings" are our FORTE! Keep watching, as this will transform into a beautiful creation. Thanks for your interest.

We are keeping track of our hours and will let you know the final count. We will try and finish it in 2-3 months from where it is now. Most of the huge obstacles have already been addressed and or finished.

djmac95 - We are located just outside of seattle, WA you are more than welcome to call us and come out to take a look. (425) 226-0213 ask for Jerry

Also I have more pictures going on the website and also more video later today. Please check it out! http://nwautocreations.com/photos.html

Wow - I may just have to pay you guys a visit someday to check it out - I've dreamed of a '70 fastback with modern internals since I was a kid - and I got the '07 since it was probably the closest I'd be able to afford. I'm stoked to see how this turns out!

Haven't you seen the new show with West Coast Customs? They've done this at least twice: Once putting a Chevelle SS body on a new Corvette, and another time putting a 70ish Charger body on a new Charger SRT8. Have faith, it can be done
yes i seen that as well and i think it can be pulled off good luck, and cant wait to see more pics of the process
