Im thinking of buying an 08 Bullitt next month. Does anyone know if a 2nd stage (face forward) child seat will fit in the back seat? Will I have to move up the passenger seat all the way forward? I currently own an Audi A4. I'm moving to NC from NY this summer, so no nead for AWD and my wife has the SUV. I won't be transporting her everyday.
Thanks, Al

A child seat will fit in the rear of a Mustang. Yes, your passenger seat will need to be pretty far forward, not all the way, but eithervery close to the dash or uncomfortably upright.
Do a search here - I know there are other threads on this subject, some with pictures.
I'm 5'8 and have no problems driving with my 3 year old sitting behind me in a forward facing seat. In fact.. I sit pretty close to how I would normally. My daughter has no problems with it either.. and I am sure she would tell me.. as we drive up to 160 miles some weekends. We also have a rear facing infant seat.. and that takes up significantly more room.

There is even a place to hook the teather over the back of the seat in my vert. I was worried about the ribs on the bottom of the seat digging into the pleather so I picked up some foam pipe insulation & placed it over the ribs & arround the bottom to protect the seat. Let the back of the seat kicking begin!!!!
Between the Recaro and 3 other child seats we have in the family, the Recaro is the only one that fits right without lots of movement, especially when I use the latch and the seatbelt together to strap it down. You do have to move up the front seat a bit for your kid's legs to fit, so it's best to install it behind the front pasenger's seat.
Thanks for the responses. I'm now using a Britax Roundabout child seat that is supposed to be compact. I remember this seat costing me 200 big ones, so I'd hate to get a new one. I'll bring it with me to the dealer and try it out. If that doesnt work I will look into Ricaro.
No worries about the car seat. My 2 year-old has an Eddie Bauer forward facing seat and we only have to move the passenger seat up a little bit. The best part of her riding along waswhen she said "Daddy it's too noisy"!It almost brought a tear to my eye as I said "Thank You".
