Default AUDIO CONTROL MODULE PROGRAMMING

I have a question for you Ford tech types out there.
I have a 2007 Mustang GT/CS which came with a 6-CD stereo. I have replaced the stereo head unit with a Ford Factory Navigation Unit. The nav unit basically works but the programming needs to be fine tuned for the options I have in my car.
I have the VIN's for four different new Mustang GT's sitting on dealer lots (these are not cars in my area) which have the correct configuration.
My question is can a dealer service department go online to the Ford as-built data base and down load the as-built audio control module data from one of those cars and upload that data into the audio control module in my car?

Thanks[/align]

Whats the configuration status?

Let me see what the WorkShop manual shows
for stereo replacement and configuration.
What are you having trouble with specifically?
Is the can bus up and running with the new stereo?

The Factory Navigation Unit I installed is programed for the car it came out of (2008 Ford Edge). The basic Radio, CD, Satellite Radioand Nav functions are working, but it doesn't see the external line in jack in the center console and the Shaker-1000 box in the trunk isn't working. It is also looking for options I do not have (steering wheel controls and phone module). I have gotten conflicting reports as to whether or not the factory nav unit can be programed to work with the Shaker-1000 trunk amps and speaker box.

It needs to be programmed.
The manual shows pulling the
configuration from the original
radio and programming the new
radio with the original build
configuration. Not sure about
the compatability issues.

That will not work the original build configuration for my car was for a Stereo/6-CD Player, not for a Navigation Unit.

What I need to knowis, can a dealer service department go online (with the IDS System) to the Ford as-built data base and down load the as-built audio control module data from another car with the correct configuration if I give then the VIN for that car and upload that data into the audio control module in my car?

You can use As-Built data from another vin that came factory with a Nav system.
The as built data is not downloaded but from PTS you get the proper code to enter in for that module when doing a programable module instilation. What they will have to do is pull the fuse for the radio and act like it is getting replaced. When you go to upload the data it will have an error and say to enter in As-built data.Did your original 6 changer have an Ipod port too though?

PROMETHEUS PRIME,

What is PTS? Is that the old dealership diagnostic system which was replaced by the IDS system?

I had the Line In Jack in the console with the old head unit.

I have a print out of the as built data from a car with the correct configuration, can that data be entered manually with the IDS system.

I'm sorry to say that the techs at the dealerships around here don't seem to have any idea how to use the IDS.

Remember the old days when you spliced a few wires and added a glass in line fuse to make your bitchin am/fm 8 track function? Ah the memories.

Default Navigation Radio upgrade programming

Has anyone come up with a solution how to upgrade the ACM shaker 500 to the Navigation radio. I installed the Nav radio on my 2009 Mustang, all appears to be working except the the B2477 configuration failure.
I used the ford ids vcm and did what they advised. Still get the B2477 error.
If you go to the as-built it will only scan for my as-built information with the shaker 500. How do I get Navigation configuration.
