If I bring my car to the dealer, leaving intake etc. on (meaning when I leave the dealer I will NEED the tune), and they reflash it with a new strategy, what do I do??
Good question

I'm not sure anyone has confirmed that a reflash needs to be done. Could be an eprom or somthing that needs flashing on the module itself. I do know I'm going ot let somone else find out for me!
To answer your question sailing, If a reflash is required and you bring it in with the intake, you will be hosed.

Looks pretty minor - it's just a software update. And the reason for the recall is because of an uncompliance in the test for "unbelted, front passenger 5th percentile female anthropomorphic test device seated in the full forward position"

This car was the first time I had bought a "Used" car ... so would I take it to the dealership I bought it? (West Texas Nissan) ... or to our local Ford Dealership (Rogers Ford)?
The only other time I had to deal w/ a recall was when I had my Saturn -- and I bought it brand new.
Yes there is a recall for the P airbag although I'm not sure why so any people are searching and hunting here on MF to see if there car is on the list when it takes 1 minute to see at Ford? When I log into myford as I do monthly to pay my bill via ford credit it pops up imdediatly in my message center. It list everything you need like the recal code and your registered dealer info.
This is the main reason I am registered to get this info quickly FROM FORD without having to hunt for it or ask someone if my car is involved.
For those who are un aware you can also see other info (if you choose to set it up) like all your service history, scheduled maintence and a variety of Ford info as it related to you such as your finance info % rate, etc. It is only a few clicks to set up and get this info. It also keeps a running estimate of my mileage based on my last service. I just asumed everyone with a Stang would be registered there. I did it like the same week I brought my car home. So I thought other people would have done it too. Another cool thing I like is that when I take my car in for service or a recall it emails me info on the status such as time I dropped off car and for what reason, status of service and notice of completion. I'm not sure how that works because I get the notices when my car is done before I get the call saying its done?? I know because the email notices can be read from my phone. Iphone ftw! lol Maybe the tech has to enter somethig in a computer when he finishes your car, etc and it generates a completed email stutus on its own? I dunno but I like it. I also like i have a computer log of when my car was there and time that I can see not just the dealer. I could loose my service receipt but my notices are pretty much forever. Never know when you may need specific info on your car service.
Anyway, you guys may want to register if you have not. It does not cost anything and as you see it can be helpful. This is what the info looks like at my Ford for my car. some info is missing from when I cut and pasted it here but you get the idea.

A recall is an action by the Company to remedy a safety or emissions related concern related to a vehicle defect or regulatory requirement. It may require that you return your vehicle to the dealer for service. If your vehicle is not affected, it may be because it was built at a different time or using a different part than the affected vehicles.

Looks like I am getting my VIN # on my lunch break to see if my car is on the list......too bad it is under cover for the winter so I can't even bring it in yet.
I spoke to Dave at Brenspeed:
[ol][*]Pull your "strategy code"[*]Return to stock[*]Have Ford do their reproggraming for the recall[*]Pull your "strategy code"[*]IF the strategy code is the same as in #1, replace your stock airbox with your CAI and reload your tune.[*]IF the strategy code is NOT the same, contact your tuner. They will provide you with corrected tunes. YOUR CAR WILL NOT START WITHOUT THE CORRECTIONS IF YOU RELOAD YOUR CUSTOM TUNE.[/ol]
NOTE:
[ol][*]1 and 2 above may be done in either order.[*]"return to stock" implies replacing the CAI with the stock airbox and reloading the stock tune. YOU make the call if you want to run the stock tune with the CAI installed (although you run the risk of throwing a CEL, IF you care since it'll probably be just a short drive)[/ol]
