I spoke to Dave at Brenspeed:
[ol][*]Pull your "strategy code"[*]Return to stock[*]Have Ford do their reproggraming for the recall[*]Pull your "strategy code"[*]IF the strategy code is the same as in #1, replace your stock airbox with your CAI and reload your tune.[*]IF the strategy code is NOT the same, contact your tuner. They will provide you with corrected tunes. YOUR CAR WILL NOT START WITHOUT THE CORRECTIONS IF YOU RELOAD YOUR CUSTOM TUNE.[/ol]
When you say (Return to stock) do you mean just the tune or do you mean return to stock CAI and tune?

I wonder if my car will run with the stock tune and the mod CAI? I don't want to put the stock air box back on... to much trouble right now.

EDIT: I think I'll wait and see if the Ford dealers actually change the strategy code when they do this recall.

Hey, if they had to take the airbag, etc. apart, maybe they can replace the deteriorating pony on the horn button at the same time!

Return to stock means tune and airbox. Most stock tunes are likely to through a CEL with the CAI. Besides, it only takes about 5-10 minutes to swap intakes. If you removedthe stock intake as one piece it's a snap to put back in.

Yeah, not doing it. My CMCP's are in 10 pieces under my workbench. I don't think they'll go back on.

Just talked to my local Ford dealer. They are aware ofmy CAI/Tune. They said the recall does not affect the PCM and there is no reason to reflash to stock.
Is that possible? Thanks!
