Hey, if they had to take the airbag, etc. apart, maybe they can replace the deteriorating pony on the horn button at the same time!
that happens from putting cleaner on the wheel, i had this happen two weeks after i got the car, i replaced it under warranty. and now when i go to my car wash i tell them leave the steering wheel alone....i clean it myself with water and a micro fiber rag...user leather cleaner on the leather, only clean it with water......mine looks brand new and its over a year old....

as for the recall .....well i know where im going tomorroww......[8D]

I'm not getting it done any time soon. "May cause injury to petite UNBUCKLED passengers." I care not then.

Ya just make the "petite" passangers sit in the back lol. They should have just the right amount of space.

I had mine done. I have a custom tune. To be safe, retune car to Stock. Only the tune, (PCM) took less then 15 mins for the tech to install the flash to the RCM. Checked the Strategy code after the fix wes installed. No change. Installed Custom tune. Car started no problems.

This is for the Passenger airbag deployment. It deploys to fast for a small person. Also call Ford customer service to get that info too.

I believe the cut-off production date is 04/05. My car being an 2005, the production date is 12/04. I don't thing I'm eligable for the recall but I haven't checked yet.

That's great news Leoleo. There would be many a mad mustang owner if the strategy code were changed!
