As I think it has been mentioned prior, you do not have to return to stock for you guys with tunes. I just got back from having my recal completed and I returned nothing to stock (I never do) and was unaffected by the work. Stang runs like a charm. This recall fix took 20 minutes and 7 minutes of that was spent with the guys looking for my keys which I took off the ring and proceeded to place back in my pocket and then walk outside to take a call. Doahhh!
After I noticed I had kept them I walked back in to toss them to my guy, he smiled and jokingly said to me '"you muther f-er! I was in here going crazy jumping all over these guys ha ha". I opoligized to my tech and service advisor and we all got a big laugh out of it. Anyway, they did the recal fix right there in the bay! You know when you pull into the area to speak to the advisor about what ever? They never took my car out to the garage even after they had my keys. He said it was no need as it would only be a few minutes. He walked right up to my car with his laptop and did it right there with me watching. No fuss, no muss. I think I remembered someone saying they were told it would be 1 to 1.5 hours so thats just bs.
So anyway, this puts to rest any worries of tunes and messing up your pcm after this fix, as mentioned before it is an rcm thing not a pcm. (pcm= engine, etc) (rcm= accesories, etc) two seperate items.
