thats weird you have trumpeting....I get zero trumpeting with my off road prochamber and stingers...and the sound of the stingers/prochamber is unbelievable when you get to the 3000-4500rpm mark

No, I don't get any VRRRRR noise....not that I'm aware of.

People say trumpeting occurs in some setups when there are no cats. Maybe Piggy doesn't get trumpeting because he has an automatic.

If you're getting resonators, you might as well get the high-flow cats and save yourself the trouble of swapping midpipes at inspection time.....not to mention having to store the old H-pipe.

I thought my tranny had something to do with it, but someone said it shouldn't. I think its more the boomtubes being less restrictive than the stingers. The vrrr noise must be a damn off road quality lol. It sounds like a terrible leak IMO. I've checked for a leak atleast 30 times on this thing. I might switch set ups

OH!!!! Forgot to mention this!

I took my car to the dealership last month to get the separation plate replaced per the TSB because of rattling. They had to slide the transmission back, and evidently they took my H-pipe off because my passenger side upper O2 sensor wasn't tight...in fact, it was loose enough to turn with my fingers. It was barely in there. Great job, Ford mechanic!

Yeah I might have to get high flow cats to make the trumpeting go away. Trumpeting seems to be common with muffler delete setups with no cats. I never knew boomtubestrumpet until now. Another option I'm considering is getting rid of my boomtubes and getting the Pypes mid muffler system.I wonder if anyone has mid mufflers with o/rprochambers. I think the setup would soundawesome and deep.

Thanks for the link.

Wow! I'm gonna start saving up for the mid muffler system now. Of course those longtubes might have something to do with the soundbut it should sound really good withoutthem too.

I'm thinking of putting my stock mufflers back on cause I hate the "Braaaaaaap" sound at WOT with the boomtubes. The Braaaaaap sound almost sounds like a ricers "fart can" (muffler)at WOT. [:'(]I listened to a and it sounded pretty good and deep still. I'm sure it won't trumpet with the stock mufflers. I'm still planning to get the mid muffler system in the future though.
