just buy a v6 with a tune cai...its as fast as that 02 gt you have now....and drive it gently and you will see almost 30mpg on the highway. Not to mention, saving the 5-7k from not buying the gt. jmo..

My 08 GT has 3.31s... I drive relatively easy with usually only 1-3 full throttle launches per tank... mixed city/highway driving and I get 22mpg pretty much every tank... yesterday I filled up and drove 80 miles of highway at about 70mph the whole way and filled up again later that day and got 27.8mpg...

My08 GT with 3.55 gears and only 3000 miles regularly averages 26-28 on a tank with plenty of fun being had.

i dunno how you guys do it, my wife drives prettry damn easy on our car (automatic w/ 3.31's) and her commute to work is like 25 miles of very highwayish driving and about 10 miles of light city driving.... she gets 20.x - 21.x and when i drive around in light city driving i get about 19.x - 20.x

Yeah I have a 08 GT stick with 3.31 and I get about 20, 21. Mixture of city, highway. I don't see the point of looking for good gas mileage with a GT. How many v8's do you know get high 20's unless you are a grandma.

I don't get it...I drive mine somewhat fast but not too bad, and I cruise often and I only get TOPS 14 mpg...And the tank always says empty but I can only get like 13-14 gallons in the tank when I fill it up.

im wondering if everyone who calculates their MPG is using the onboard thing or are you checking it via gas receipts? i've been using the onboard thing myself.
