Default Side effects of turning off O2 sensors for O/R pipe.

I've been thinking about buying an O/R X-pipe for my car. I know that I will have to adjust my tune to turn off the O2 sensors. My question is; after I turn off the O2 sensors, will the PCM still be able to detect if the motor is running too rich or lean?

mine still throws those codes from time to time when it is running too rich or too lean, usually it is too rich...not sure if it is a false reading but i still get them from time to time

Is this something that everybody with an O/R mid pipe has to deal with?

what i would like to know, is after you get an x-pipe, or h, with no cats, if you get the car tuned and the MIL turned off, can they detect this when smogging the vehicle???

Hmm... I am just going to leave my cats on. Do you gain that much more horse power from removing them?

The HP gain at the wheels is minor at best MustangFan45, but the sound increase is VERY noticeable. If you are handy enough to swap in your own Cat'ed H/X pipe before smog, or rich enough to have it done, I would recommend it (with LT's).
