just lowered my 06GT - Alignment issue

I just put the eibach pro kit springs on my 06GT. I can tell the aligment is a little off, which is expected. Could I get away with only getting an alignment?

I really want to avoid changing any other suspension parts on the car. I really just flat out don't have the money for it.

You will need an alignment...did you put on caster camber plates as well?

...if not...you should...

your proly going to need the panhard bar as well bud.. u will notice your drivers side shift off to the left.. my buddy lowered his stang after andthe 04 offset saleen wheels.. n e ways on one side the wheel was pretty flush with the sidewall of his wheel(driver side)on the other the tire was stickin out like half an inch..

Yeah you might need to get caster camber plates or bolts. Depends on how much you dropped it though.

You'll get less than 10K miles on your front tires IF you don't a adjust your car's camber after lowering it. The inside 2 inchs of your tire will wear quickly! BUT OH does it corner so much better! I lost some cornering grip when I had my front end re aligned and I needed to buy new tires... SO don't wait it'll cost you more mony!!

I did use the pro kit. It dropped it about 1 inch. Excuse my ignorance but could someone show me a diagram where the casters are? I really am lost when It comes to the suspension on cars in general.

I'll probably end up just getting the car aligned and go from there.

your first post said you got the sport (sportline) kit.

get the camber bolts:

and take them to the alignment shop.

There is not enough 'adjustment' in the stock caster bolts/plates to fix what you have deveiated from stock when you lowered you car.
You'll need some parts (seems like bolts were about $352 years ago when we did it) BUT the damage to the tires was done and I had to replace them. DO a quick search I was able to get mine from a local auto parts store. (Napa)
Again you'll need the bolts AND then get it aligned....

i tried the eibach/ingalls camber bolts, and they didn't have enough adjustment to get the front end back where i wanted. the ac delco bolts worked better. granted, i was trying to get the camber to near zero to minimize tire wear because i can't rotate the tires with a stagggered tire size set up.

i took my car to the front end shop with the eibach/ingalls bolts in hand, they did the whole alignment and couldn't get it close enough to really cut down on tire wear, so they took it all apart and used the ac delco kit and got the driver's side to 0 and the passenger side to -.3. i drove the car for probably 13k with the eibach pro kit without aligning the front end, and there was a little bit of tire wear, however they probably would have gone another 10k or so without having to replace the tires. if you can still rotate your tires you can probably get 30k out of a set depending on how you drive.
