Default Anyone REMOVE the ambient lighting stuff from their car?

I just got my Mustang and I don't like it. It was near impossible to get one without this option. Now I'm looking into getting new console components to delete this and maybesell off the stuff. Has anyone else done this?

Thanks,
Edward

If you decide to take it off, I'm interested in buying it.

Why do you want to trade it; you can turn it to the basic factory colors?

I'll buy it off you if you don't want it.

Wow. Now I see why all the GT's I looked at were equipped with it. I had not idea it was so popular.

In response to why I don't want it, I guess it really just annoys me that I paid $300 dollars for this thing that I have absolutely no use for. I don't get the Mycolor thing either. You can change the colors of the gauges, yet the radio and all the other switchgear is still green. So I have Mycolor set to green. I guess I'm just simple. I've only had the car 36 hours so maybe it will grow on me; but I doubt it.

Thanks for the response, guys!

Why don't you just keep it turned off if you don't like it?

Because each of the 3 people that have been a passenger in my car has pressed the button. [>:]

OK, folks..so how do you remove the thing? I was about to ask until I saw this post...my right button got stuck in the "pushed-in" position... Hope, I did not hijack the post since is asking about removing this thing....

lol, sorry that's pretty funny.

I think it might be more trouble than it's worth to take it off. Of course, if you find someone close to you, they might be willing to do teh swap and all for free - worth checking it out if you're that serious about it.

It'll grow on you.
